Wpływ umieszczenia chorego z chorobą Alzheimera w ośœrodku pobytu dziennego na samopoczucie opiekuna

Abstrakt

Wstęp. Zdiagnozowanie choroby Alzheimera u jednego z członków rodziny rodzi konieczność adaptacji całego systemu, jaki ona tworzy. Z upływem lat zakres oraz ciężar opieki zwiększają się. Działania opiekuńczo-pielęgnacyjne są wyczerpujące, wymagają sił fizycznych, odporności psychicznej i cierpliwości. Elementem wsparcia dla opiekunów może być tworzenie orodków pobytu dziennego dla osób cierpiących na chorobę Alzheimera.  

Cel pracy. Celem pracy jest okrelenie, czy umieszczenie chorego w orodku dziennego pobytu ma rzeczywisty wpływ na samopoczucie dawcy opieki, a kontakt z pracownikami tychże instytucji przynosi opiekunom wymierne korzyci.

Materiał i metody. Grupę badawczą stanowiło 35 opiekunów osób dotkniętych chorobą Alzheimera z orodków w Bydgoszczy, Łodzi i Warszawie. Do badania wykorzystano kwestionariusz ankiety własnego autorstwa oraz posłużono się metodami statystycznymi.

Wyniki i wnioski. Umieszczenie chorego z chorobą Alzheimera w orodku pobytu dziennego ma istotny wpływ na samopoczucie jego opiekuna. Kontakt z fachowym personelem pozwala nie tylko na uzyskanie wiadomoci z zakresu pielęgnowania i postępowania z osobą chorą, ale jest też elementem wsparcia psychicznego.

Introduction. The diagnosis of one of the familys member with the Alzheimers disease causes necessity of adaptation to such systems situation as it is itself. As years go by, the scope as well as the burden of the care have been increasing. Care-nursing activities are exhausting, require physical strength, psychical resistance, patience. The element of support for the carers could be the creation of daily-stay centres for people suffering from the Alzheimers disease.

Aim. The goal of the study is to define whether the placing of the patient in a daily-stay centre has a real influence on the carers mental state and if the carers profit from the contact with employees of these institutions.

Material and methods. Those pooled was a group composed of 35 carers of the people suffering from the Alzheimers disease from the centres in Bydgoszcz, £ód and Warszawa. The survey was conducted using statistic methods and an own-authorship questionnaires.

Results and conclusions. Placing the patient with the Alzheimers disease in a daily-stay centre has an essential influence on the carers mental state. Not only does the contact with the skilled  staff give the opportunity to get information concerning the care and treatment of the patient, but also is an element of psychological support.
